5 tips that can help clear up acne in a month

The battle with acne can seem constant and expensive, but it doesn’t have to be! There are simple steps that we can take to heal and clear up our skin. Here are some effective ways to get that glowing clear skin:

Double cleanse the skin

Often the first cleanse that we do at night doesn’t remove everything from our skin. Not completely removing all the make-up, dirt, oil, or whatever is still left on our skin can cause clogged pores leading to acne. Doing a double cleansing at night can thoroughly clean the skin and reduce breakouts.

Product application

The way products are applied can have a huge effect on our skin. By caking on huge amounts of make-up can cause problems for the skin, not by blocking the pores but by being hard to remove. The leftover make-up after the daily cleansing can cause clogged pores since they are left sitting on the skin for far too long.

Eating antioxidants

Eating antioxidants can help to protect the skin from sun damage. Food rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, and green tea are a great source of antioxidants. Even applying green tea topically have amazing benefits for the skin.

Pillow care

It’s very important to sleep on clean sheets and pillowcases. Dirty pillowcases are filled with shed skin cells, sweat, dirt and all kinds of other things. This means that your bedding can be causing your breakouts.

Don’t touch

This one can be hard to resist, but don’t pop your pimples. Messing with the skin only causes more inflammation, scars and more acne. The best thing to do is apply a spot treatment on the breakout and wait.
